Demographics
As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Nangalkot had a population of 275,985. Males constitute 48.87% of the population, and females 51.13%. This Upazila's eighteen-and-up population is 159,473. Nangalkot has an average literacy rate of 69.73% (for its 7 and over population), with the national average being 38.4% literate.[1]
