Sarail (Bengali: সরাইল) is an Upazila of Brahmanbaria District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh.

Geography

Sarail is located at 24°03′30″N 91°07′30″E / 24.0583°N 91.1250°E / 24.0583; 91.1250 . It has 43854 units of house hold and total area 239.52 km².

Demographics

As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Sarail has a population of 254481. Males constitute are 50.32% of the population, and females 49.68%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 120249. Sarail has an average literacy rate of 22.6% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.^[1]
