1986 . The district, with a population of 100,000, is subdivided into twotehsil s "Ziarat" and "Sinjavi" the latter is the most densely populated having a population of 65,000, while Ziarat Tehsil has a population of 35,000. The district contain a total of ten Union CouncilsDemography

Muslim s. The major tribes of Ziarat arePashtun tribes such asKakar ,Dotani , Syed,Tareen andRaisani .Raisani is the sub tribe ofTor Tareen . The main language of the district isPashto .The Kakar tribe are split into the following clans Dummer which is the largest tribe of District Ziarat living in Tehsil Sinjavi,Panezai, Sarangzai, and Essa Kail. Kawas is the largest village of the district. Most of the people are Dotani who came from Waziristan a century ago. This tribe has great influence in politics.
