From ulnar nerve

The muscular branches of ulnar nerve, two in number, arise near the elbow: one supplies the Flexor carpi ulnaris; the other, the ulnar half of the Flexor digitorum profundus. (Both are deep muscles of the anterior compartment of the forearm).
