Channel 1799 (HD)ReelzChannel is a digital cable television channel owned by Hubbard Broadcasting that airs programming about movies as well as syndicated programming. It features news and information on movies currently in theatres as well as information on movies released on DVD and airing on cable television each week. In addition, VOD and Pay-TV highlights are featured in a segment that airs twice an hour called ReelzChannel Recommends. It is tailored to providers based on either the pay-per-view channel map or VOD remote instructions for each system. Another segment that airs each hour is called Movies That Deliver sponsored by Domino's Pizza. It is tailored to subscribers of premium cable networks like HBO, Showtime, Starz, and the like. ReelzChannel also operates a hotel-only service in partnership with Lodgenet, called ReelzChannel In Your Room. This combines original ReelzChannel programming combined with movie reviews in case one wishes to order a movie in their hotel room.
ReelzChannel launched on September 27, 2006 [1] and is independently owned and operated. It was initially available via DirecTV and Dish Network but has also signed carriage deals with various cable companies including Time Warner Cable, Comcast, Charter Communications and recently Cablevision.
ReelzChannel moved their headquarters to Albuquerque, New Mexico in early 2009, where Hubbard's KOB television is based.[2]
