KSAX is a U.S. television station based in Alexandria, Minnesota, which is rebroadcasted on KRWF in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. The stations are semi-satellites of KSTP-TV in Minneapolis-St. Paul.

The stations air ten-minute local inserts during KSTP's newscasts, local commercial inserts during commercial breaks, as well as some original local programming. Combined with a large network of translator stations, the stations serve 30 counties in central and western Minnesota.

History

KSAX, and later KRWF, went on the air for the first time in September 1987, and first started airing newscasts in January 1988. The stations have won numerous broadcast journalism awards from various broadcaster associations.
