Dharamjaigarh is a town and a nagar panchayat in Raigarh District in the state of Chhattisgarh, India. Major languages spoken are English, Chhatisgarhi, Oriya and Hindi.

Dharamjaigarh is located at 22°28′N 83°13′E / 22.47°N 83.22°E[1]. It has an average elevation of 300 m (980 ft).
Demographics
As of 2001[update] India census[2], Dharamjaigarh had a population of 13,603. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Dharamjaigarh has an average literacy rate of 64%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 72% and, female literacy is 55%. In Dharamjaigarh, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.
History
Dharamjaigarh is a taluk headquarters and prominent town in Raigarh District of Chhattisgarh. It is around 74 km north-west of Raigarh. It was earlier known as Udaipur and was a princely state. Raipur Airport is the nearest airport.
Raigarh Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Dharamjaigarh was previously known as Udaipur State.[citation needed] It was ruled by a king Judev. From Last 35 Year Dharamjaigarh had so many Leader which were The Minister in state Govt rather than there is no economical or any kind of development in the City. Its really shame to the political leader who are the part of this beautiful city but no one have the responsibility to make progressive or developed. Dharamjaigarh is full of the natural resources but due to the shameless politicians it has not got the right place in the state. There is need to be resolution into the youth hence it will become heaven. We proud to be Dharamjaigadiyan.
Culture
- Emlitikara: the famous temple of Maa Kali situated at short mountains
- Sisringa: Its another Temple of Maa Durga in short rounded valley
- Amadarha: Its Picnic Spot.
- Gayatri Mandir: it is one of the famous temple.
- Dashera Festival: which is very famous and popular.
Education
In Dharamjaigarh there are two government schools; one for girls and one for boys. Private schools are running on jhopadi or chal. There are no good colleges for higher study. There are no facilities in Dharamjaigarh. Students are moving for higher studies in other states or big cities.
Economy
Dharamjaigarh is famous for agriculture.Farmers are growing various type of crops,mainly paddy.But market is not available for them.So they are not getting right price for their crop.There are some rice mills and they are very small to utilize all the production.There are many professional persons from Dharamjaigarh. They are doing jobs in multinational companies.Soon within two are three years there will be one IT company is going to be open.Company is just reviewing the market.As a person from dharamjaigarh, we have to do the hard work and improve our economy.We have to become producer not become a consumer,that is our target.Unity is strength,strength is power,power means progress,progress comes with performance.
