Devgarh is located at 25°32′N 73°54′E / 25.53°N 73.9°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 638 metres (2093 feet).
Demographics
As of 2001[update] India census,[2] Devgarh had a population of 16,500. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Devgarh has an average literacy rate of 65%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 76% and, female literacy is 54%. In Devgarh, 16% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Places of interest
Deogarh is a popular tourist destination. It boasts of a complex of luxurious heritage resorts managed by the erstwhile royal family of the Deogarh thikana.
