Chhabra is a city and a municipality in Baran district in the state of Rajasthan, India.very near to the border of Madhya Pradesh.

Geography
Chhabra is located at 24°40′N 76°50′E / 24.67°N 76.83°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 257 metres (1053 feet). Chhabra is connected with broadgauge line and is well connected to Jaipur, Kota and Ahmedabad by Express and Passenger Trains
Demographics
As of 2001[update] India census,[2] Chhabra had a population of 22,795. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Chhabra has an average literacy rate of 60%; with male literacy of 70% and female literacy of 50%. 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Thermal Power Plant
Chhabra has a thermal power plant which is operational. The second phase (2 X 250 MW) of the Thermal Power Plant is under Construction. This plant is owned by RRVUNL and as per information available on the web site of RRVUNL the second phase is likely to become operational in December 2011.The proposed capacity of thermal power plant is 2,320 MW.
