CHNI-FM (News 88.9) is a Canadian FM radio station broadcasting on 88.9 MHz from Saint John, New Brunswick. The station broadcasts a format of news, talk and sports, and is owned by Rogers Radio.

The station was granted a license by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission on November 26, 2004.[1]

News 88.9's first broadcast was on October 11, 2005. CHNI is networked with sister stations CKNI-FM (News 91.9) in Moncton and CJNI-FM (News 95.7) in Halifax. News 88.9 broadcasts Saint John Sea Dogs, Ottawa Senators and Toronto Blue Jays games on nights when those teams are playing, otherwise, they simulcast ESPN Radio or Westwood One sports coverage at night.
