Much of the convert|72500|acre|km2|0 Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. and convert|56000|acre|km2|-1 Quantico Marine Base, Virginia are undeveloped, and constitute the largest such areas within convert|30|mi|km|0 of either Baltimore or Washington. Neither is generally open to the public. Quantico is contiguous with Prince William Forest Park. Washington and Baltimore are convert|33|mi|km|0s apart.
