"My Romance" Song from Jumbo Published 1935 Writer Lorenz Hart Composer Richard Rodgers "My Romance" is a popular song, with music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Lorenz Hart, written for Billy Rose's musical, Jumbo (1935). In the 1962 movie version of Jumbo, Doris Day performed the song.
The song is featured in a commercial for Ralph Lauren's Romance fragrance. Over the years "My Romance" has also become identified as a sort of anthem connected with movie palaces and movie theatre organs.
