North Governorate (Arabic: الشمال‎, Aš Šamāl) is one of the governorates of Lebanon. Its capital is Tripoli.

The North Governorate is divided into districts, or aqdya. The districts are listed below (capitals in parentheses):

• Akkar (Halba)
• Batroun (Batroun)
• Bsharri (Bsharri)
• Koura (Amioun)
• Miniyeh-Danniyeh District (Miniyeh / Sir ed-danniyeh)
• Tripoli (Tripoli)
• Zgharta (Zgharta / Ehden)

Religion in the North Governorate

Sunni makes the majority with 53.04%; Christians makes the second most with 44.68%; Shia makes the third with 2.27%; Druze are the last with 0.01%.
