The song "Oliver Cromwell" was never released prior to this album. It also contains a new recording "I've Got Two Legs," which had previously only been released as part of live recordings, and the previously rare single version of "The Lumberjack Song." The album also has the complete version of the "Medical Love Song" and "Henry Kissinger," which each had a verse cut out of its appearance on Monty Python's Contractual Obligation Album.

Tracks 1 and 15 are from the film Life of Brian.
Tracks 4, 7, 11, 17, 23, and 24 are from the film Meaning of Life.
Track 14 is from the LP Monty Python's Previous Record.
Track 16 is from the LP Matching Tie and Handkerchief.
Tracks 2, 8, 10, 12, 13, 19, and 20 are from the LP Monty Python's Contractual Obligation Album, as were alternate versions of 9 and 21 (track 21 was previously released on Monty Python's The Final Rip Off).
Tracks 5 and 22 were previously unreleased.
