Early Irish astrology is the obscure astrological system practiced by the ancient Irish. Little is known about this native system of astrology, as it is only described in a few Old Irish manuscripts, none of which have been published or fully translated.

Ellis (1996) from early Irish sources attempts to reconstruct an earlier Celtic calendar, arguing that "a study of linguistic concepts and early cosmological motifs and calendrical philosophies of both Celtic (inclusive of Old Irish) and Sanskrit/Vedic cultures give a path back to the common Indo-European roots of our cultures."[1]
