Ordinsky District (Russian: Ординский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion) of Perm Krai, Russia; one of the thirty-three in the krai. Municipally, it is incorporated as Ordinsky Municipal District. It is located in the southeastern portion of the krai, mostly in the valley of the Iren River. The area of the district is 1,418.3 square kilometers (547.6 sq mi).^{[citation needed]} Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Orda.^[1] District's population: 15,614 (2010 Census preliminary results);^[2] 17,077 (2002 Census);^[3] 17,576 (1989 Census).^[6] Population of Orda accounts for 31.6% of the district's population.^[3]

History

The district was established in 1924 and became a part of Perm Oblast in 1938.^{[citation needed]} It was abolished between 1963 and 1965.^{[citation needed]}

Demographics

Ethnic composition: Russians: 80.5%; Tatars: 16.9%; Komi-Permyak people: 0.9%.^{[citation needed]}

Economy

The economy of the district is based on agriculture and petroleum industry.
