The 2008–09 OFC Champions League, also known as the 2009 O-League for short, will be contested by six teams from five countries. The teams will be split into two three-team pools, the winner of each pool contesting the title of O-League Champion and the right to represent the Oceania Football Confederation at the 2009 FIFA Club World Cup.

Under the rules of the OFC Champions League, the winner of the O-League Preliminary competition replaces the last-placed member nation from the previous year's O-League.

Hekari United automatically qualified to the Group Stage following the withdrawal of the representative clubs from Cook Islands and Tuvalu.
