- 20 February 2010: Former employee at the Fury Doug Kingston sued the club $372,500.[28]
- 25 February 2010: Both the NQ Fury and Doug Kingston have reached an agreement during Supreme court.[29]
- 3 March 2010: The North Queensland Fury’s future was put into disarray when sole owner Don Matheson withdrew his support to the club.[30]
- 9 March 2010: Rumors were floating around that the Fury were going to be moved to Cairns.[31]
- 31 March 2010: The North Queensland Fury were saved by many local businessmen and by the Townsville City Council.[32]
- 6 April 2010: Head coach Ian Ferguson had left the club to join Perth Glory as an assistant coach.[33]
- 7 April 2010: Former head coach Ian Ferguson was considering suing the Fury.[34]
- 23 April 2010: The Fury signed a coach selection panel in Peter Brine, Han Berger & Jonathan Crisp.[35]
- 24 April 2010: The Fury announce they would pull out of the race to resign Robbie Fowler.[36]
- 27 April 2010: Former marquee player for the fury Robbie Fowler officially joins Perth Glory as their marquee player.[21]
- 14 May 2010: The NQ Fury sign former A-League player Stuart McLaren as a assistant coach.[37]
- 7 June 2010: The Fury sign Frantisek Straka to a one-year deal to be the head coach.[39]

- 29 July 2010: The club announced Ufuk Talay as the Captain and Gareth Edds as Vice-Captain for the upcoming season.[41]
- 29 July 2010: North Queensland Fury's Head of Sports Science Alan McCall was granted a release to work at Liverpool.[42]
- 5 August 2010: The club announced Mission Australia as one of the major sponsors for the next three seasons.[43]
- 5 August 2010: People Resourcing was announced as another sponsor for the next three seasons.[44]
- 1 September 2010: Chris Payne was the first nominated young player for the NAB Young Footballer of the Year after his performances after the first four rounds.[45]
- 17 September 2010: The CEO Circle was signed to be a sleeve sponsor.[46]
- 9 October 2010: Eugene Sseppuya represented his country against Kenya in the 2012 African Cup of Nations qualification becoming the fourth player to have represented their country while contracted with the fury.[47]
- 22 October 2010: Queensland Nickel jumped back on board to sponsor for another season.[48]
- 31 October 2010: After a week from hell which saw the club's match against Newcastle Jets postponed due to the surface along with the club denied by the FFA to allow Mark Bosnich to join the club as a trainer and losing both the head and assistant coach for their clash against Gold Coast United saw the club go down 2-1 with Robbie Middleby as head coach losing the Queensland Nickel Cup.
- 21 January 2011: North Queensland suffered the worst defeat in A-League history when they went down 8-1 to Adelaide United.
- 2 February 2011: Fury captain Ufuk Talay would retire at seasons end.
- 9 February 2011: Assistant coach Stuart McLaren announced he would be departing at season's end to return back to Scotland.
