The North Dallas Vandals are an expansion franchise in the American Basketball Association that are set to begin playing in 2010. The Vandals play in Dallas, Texas. The team is owned by Casey Topletz and are coached by David Zimmerman.[2] The Vandals compete in the Southwest Division.

2010-2011 Season

The Vandals inaugural season ended with a record of 12-7, losing in the second round of the Southwest division tournament to the Dallas Impact 116-123. The Vandals could not keep up their regular season winning ways against the Impact, going 4-1 against their cross-town rivals over the course of the campaign.

The Vandals also saw their first All-Star, as former Southern Methodist University standout Devon Pearson got the call to the Western Conference Squad. Pearson averaged a gaudy 23.3 points and 11.9 rebounds for the season, appearing in 12 games and starting 8.

History was also made when the Vandals suited up female basketball player Kavita Goss, making her the first female player in the ABA. Another notable appearance included Marc D of the hip-hop trio the G-Spot Boys, known for their hit single, "Stanky Legg".

Roster

The North Dallas Vandals final game day roster contained eleven players on their roster, though many players came and went over the course of the season. Players such as Shondale Robinson, CJ Carter, Tearon Hill, Bright Ogbogu, Andre Mayo, Aaron Wade, Darius Howard, Michael Stearns, Maurice Williams, Antonio Odom, Ralph Johnson, and Jason Wern all saw playing time in at least one game. Owner/GM Casey Topletz also made a brief appearance in one game, though his stats are unavailable.
