The San Francisco Rumble are a team of the American Basketball Association set to begin play in 2007. They will play their home games at the historic Kezar Pavilion, former home to the city's previous ABA team, the San Francisco Pilots.

History

2005-2007: San Francisco Pilots

The San Francisco Pilots were a team in the American Basketball Association. The Pilots began play on November 15, at Kezar Pavilion, in San Francisco. The team posted a great record in the months of November and December and had a lot of local media attention going into the home-stretch. The Pilots resumed play against Aoshen Olympian-in Maywood- then continued a home and home series in San Francisco. The San Francisco Pilots were selected as the "West Alternate" for the ABA playoffs, however the team was not asked to participate in the tournament, and going into the offseason, the future of the Franchise was uncertain. The team is assumed defunct.

2007-present: San Francisco Rumble

The team has since gone on to become the San Francisco Rumble
