The network was launched on September 1, 2005 at 10 a.m. Nickelodeon Portugal is a simulcast of Nickelodeon España in Portuguese. Although it's ZON TVCabo exclusive, several internet rumours have appointed to Nickelodeon's presence on ZON's cable competitor, Cabovisão. Although, none of these rumours have been confirmed. On April 1, 2010, Nickelodeon adopted the new typographical logo that is being used on the network in other countries around the world, along with some new programs such as Big Time Rush, Isab TKM, Victorious or The Troop and also a miniseries called Bué da Nick.
