Murchison East is a railway station on the Goulburn Valley railway that serves the town of Murchison, Victoria, Australia. The station is served by V/Line passenger trains on the Shepparton Line.

The station opened as Murchison at the same time as the railway from Mangalore to Shepparton on 13 January 1880, being renamed to Murchison East in September 1890.[1] The station became a junction in September 1890 when the line to Rushworth opened, this line later being extended to Colbinabbin and Girgarre. The Rushworth line remained open until 1987,[2] and branched off at the Seymour end of the station facing north, and the line curved to the east.

The station is located at the Murchison-Violet Town Road level crossing. The main timber station building has been fenced off, replaced by a new passenger shelter alongside. The station has the longest passing loop on the line, 870 metres in length,[3] as well as a number of other sidings that serve a grain silo complex opposite the platform.
