Anglo-Mexican relations
Mexico
United KingdomAnglo-Mexican relations refer to Interstate relations between the United Kingdom and Mexico. The United Kingdom was the first country in Europe to recognize Mexico's Independence.[1] The relationship between the two nations began after the Pastry War, in which the United Kingdom aided Mexico against France. Also, relations improved when Mexico joined the British alongside with the Allies to fight the Japanese forces in the Pacific War. Currently, Mexico has an embassy in London. The UK has an embassy in Mexico City and a consulate in Monterrey.
