  • Norway – The Sjursøya train crash was a runaway train accident which happened in Oslo, Norway and killed three people.

  • Russia – Moscow Metro terrorist bombings: an explosion blasts a train at Lubyanka station on the Moscow Metro at approximately 7:56AM local time (3:56AM UTC), followed by a second at Park Kultury station around 8:38AM. At least 38 were believed killed on the day, and the explosives were thought to have been placed by female suicide bombers from North Caucasus.[3]
