History
According to company's official website, AppLabs was established by Sashi Reddi in 2001 in the city of Hyderabad, with the initial seed money provided by the venture capital company Sequoia Capital. AppLabs was created at a time when the concept of independent third party testing or an unbiased quality check for software was in its infancy. Outsourced IT Projects involved development and software testing activities rolled into one and it was awarded to a single company.
On september 14, 2011 Computer Science Corporation(CSC) acquired Applabs. Promoters of Applabs hold 40% stake, private equity firm Westbridge Capital holds 50% and employees hold 10%, Applabs Founder and Chief Executive Officer Shashi Reddy told media persons here. The company has revenues of over $16 billion.

Offices
The company has three major headquarters in the three markets it operates in: India, USA and UK. In India, the nerve centre of testing activity is located in the DLF building in Gachibowli, Hyderabad(AP Capital twin cities). The company returned to Cyber Towers. This year AppLabs completely shifted away from the 'Global Engineering Centre' building to SEZ zone (DLF and Cyber Towers in Hyderabad)
