D31 is a state road in central Croatia connecting Velika Gorica and Glina (via D30 and D6 state roads respectively) to Croatian motorway network at the A11 motorway Velika gorica jug interchange.[1] The road is 55.0 km (34.2 mi) long.[2]
The road currently terminates at an intersection with the D30 state road immediately to the south of Velika Gorica. An extension of the road to the north of that point, up to the A3 motorway Kosnica interchange is under construction. This section and the adjacent section to the north connecting to the A11 motorway Velika Gorica jug (south) interchange form the eastern Velika Gorica bypass road, which shall, once completed, provide another access route to Zagreb. Furthermore a connection to D408 state road and Zagreb Airport shall be provided from the eastern Velika Gorica bypass (D31).[3][4][5]
The road, as well as all other state roads in Croatia, is managed and maintained by Hrvatske ceste, state owned company.[6]
