1097 , the last nativeCroatia n KingPetar Svačić was killed in Gvozd during theBattle of Gvozd Mountain , leading to the mountain being called Petrova Gora ("Petar's Mountain").Gvozd was also known as Vrginmost. The name was changed after the war.Fact|date=August 2007
