History
Hume City are the most successful Turkish backed football (soccer) club in Australia. They currently compete in the Victorian Premier League being the only team in the competition from the City of Hume.
Hume City are known by the Turkish community as Anadoluspor. They originally formed as Holland Park FC in 1979, they have changed their name several times over the years to: North Coburg United FC in 1992, Coburg United FC in 2007; where they played out their home matches at Knights Stadium in North Sunshine, Victoria. They then changed to their current name Hume City FC in 2009.
They also relocated their training and home matches to the newly under construction stadium John Ilhan Memorial Reserve, which is located in Broadmeadows Valley ParkThe new facilities are to be completed early 2012.
