The Priory City of Lincoln Academy co-educational secondary school within the English Academy programme, in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. It has Specialist status in Engineering and Sports. Originally built as the new "downhill" version of The City School, Lincoln, it was later known as City of Lincoln Community College before becoming an academy in September 2008.
The school is part of the Priory Federation group of academies.[1] along with the Priory Witham Academy, the Priory Ruskin Academy and the Priory Academy LSST. It has around 1,000 pupils and admits around 160 pupils a year.
Contents
Sports centre
The academy has a sports centre which has a swimming pool, sports hall, gym, squash courts, three football pitches (in winter) and running track in the summer. It also has 6 tennis courts and a 5-a-side football pen.
Building
From January 2010 they started building a new school and the students moved in to porta cabins from February 2010. Balfour Beatty continue to work on the school.The New building opened in september 2011
