It is one of three schools in North Lincolnshire that has a sixth-form, of which another is in Brigg, which together operate (in conjunction with Vale of Ancholme) as the "Brigg Sixth Form College", to spread the workload rather than duplicating curriculum.

The Sir John Nelthorpe School, also in Brigg, gets slightly better (56%) GCSE and A-level results. The local education authority which operates the school is North Lincolnshire.
