MAX Asia is the secondary channel of HBO which only features action and suspense movies like its US counterpart. MAX Asia is headquartered in Time Warner Asia office in Singapore; hence it is subject to the same censorship as HBO Asia.

History

MAX Asia is the secondary channel of HBO Asia. Launched in August 1996, MAX is a 24-hour movie channel which features movies in Horror, Suspense, Thriller and Action. Max features Thriller MAX on Thursday, Action MAX on Friday, MAX Superstars on Saturday and See It Sunday.

MAX Rebranding

On March 29, 2009, Cinemax was rebranded as "MAX" to appeal to male viewers. MAX's logo have been redesigned as well in line with the rebranding.[1][2][3][4]
