The Anglican Diocese of Carpentaria was an Anglican diocese in northern Queensland from 1900 to 1996.[1][2]
The diocese's first bishop was Gilbert White[3] and the last was Anthony Hall-Matthews.[4]
In 1997, most Anglicans in the diocese were received into the Traditional Anglican Communion as the Church of Torres Strait, which in 2010 petitioned the Vatican for reception into a personal ordinariate of the Roman Catholic Church.
