Situated 1.2 km (0.75 mi) west of Ivan Vladislav Point, and 1.7 km (1.1 mi) east-southeast of Cape Sheffield. Extended further 400 m (440 yd) northwestwards by the group of Chiprovtsi Islets named in association with the point.
The point is named after the town of Chiprovtsi in northwestern Bulgaria.
