The Chesterfield School District is a community public school district that serves students in first through sixth grades from Chesterfield Township, New Jersey, United States.

In 2007, voters approved a referendum for the construction of a new preK-6 school facility to be ready to accommodate 931 students and open in time for the 2010-2011 school year.[3]

Public school students in grades 7 - 12 attend the schools of the Northern Burlington County Regional School District, which also serves students from Mansfield Township, North Hanover Township and Springfield Township, along with children of United States Air Force personnel based at McGuire Air Force Base.[4] The schools in the district (with 2005-06 enrollment data from the National Center for Education Statistics[5]) are Northern Burlington County Regional Middle School for grades 7 and 8 (665 students) and Northern Burlington County Regional High School for grades 9-12 (1,264 students). Both schools are in the Columbus section of Mansfield Township.

As of the 2007-08 school year, the district's one schools had an enrollment of 393 students and 31.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.5.[1]

The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "GH", the third highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.[6]
