Career
Chen has starred in numerous television serials, feature films, stage plays, and telemovies. He has worked as a presenter for several prestigious events, including[citation needed] the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia. Edmund Chen has also participated in various shows for the Singapore Buddhist Association and has produced charity events, in which guests of honor included local and international celebrities.Now Chen writes children books
Having made his acting in the 1980s, Chen has consistently won Mediacorp's most popular artiste award for many years running and voted Best Male artiste by Singapore viewers. He also has a large fan following in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Malaysia and Vietnam. He is one of the few Singaporeans to have made its foray into Hollywood and has starred in a film produced by Warner Brothers (Turn Left, Turn Right), as well as more recently in Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li distributed by Fox Pictures, as Xiang, father of Chun Li.[1]
All in all, Edmund Chen Zhicai has to his credit 80 television serials, 10 movies, 4 solo albums, compilation[clarification needed], 5 publications and numerous productions and designs.[2]
