- Chapel Point State Park
-
Chapel Point State Park is a 600-acre (2.4 km2) state park in the state of Maryland.[1] It is located on the Port Tobacco River, a tributary of the Potomac River, in Charles County, Maryland. The park is largely undeveloped, but features fishing and hunting. Adjacent to the park is St. Ignatius Church and cemetery, the oldest continuous Roman Catholic parish in the United States, with a very scenic river view. In the early 20th century, as a new historic marker there states, Chapel Point had an amusement park and also hosted the annual Charles County Fair.[citation needed]
