Chandka Medical College (CMC), founded on 20 April 1973.^[1] , is a medical school in Larkana Sindh, Pakistan. It provide tertiary medical facilities to upper sindh and half of Balouchistan population and Medical education for the students of Sukkur and Larkako division.

History

Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto initiated a project to found four different medical colleges in Sindh province; CMC was among them. It is located in a building that had formerly housed a government polytechnic institute, and Professor Ali Mohammad Ansari was assigned as the first Principal of the college. CMC admitted its first batch of 150 students in 1973. In 1975, as the first batch of students were passing their first certification exams, the school instituted new departments in pathology and pharmacology.^[2]

CMC has since grown to a full-fledged medical university.^{[citation needed]}
