The team will play its home games at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City, Iowa, and barring any coaching change before the season, its head coach will be Kirk Ferentz.

Through six games in the 2008 season, the Hawkeyes have a 3–3 overall record and a 0–2 record in the Big Ten.

* Brad Rogers, a running back from Toledo, Ohio;
* Brett Van Sloten, an offensive tackle from Decorah, Iowa; and
* Brandon Wegher, an athlete from Sioux City, Iowa.

Recruits cannot begin signing binding contracts until National Signing Day, which is February 4, 2009.
