Banksia is a railway station on the
Illawarra line of Sydney'sCityRail network. Located in theSydney suburb of Banksia, it serves a residential area. The station exit is located on the northern end of the platforms, down the stairs to a pedestrian subway. The ticket office is also located in the subway.Access is provided west to Railway Street and east to Hattersley Street and thePrinces Highway .History
The Illawarra line to Hurstville opened in 1884.
