Witness Lee . According to the book,Second Corinthians may be considered as anautobiography of theApostle Paul . Second Corinthians can be also considered as aportrait of a person who lived in theSpirit . The book covers various aspects of the Spirit filled life. The author points out that with God the believers can be constituted as the ministers of the newcovenant ministry for the building up of the church. This book primarily focuses on the "enjoyment of Christ" in the spirit in a Christian's daily life. Since the book is based on the Second Corinthians, it revolves much around the Apostle Paul's life and his way of living. The book mentions: to enjoy and experience
Christ in a rich way one must be persons in the Spirit as symbolized by ten aspects in 2 Corinthians — "Captives" (2 Cor. 2:14-16; Acts 9:1-9), "letters" (2 Cor. 3:3-6; 17; Col. 1:27) , "mirrors" (2 Cor. 3:16, 18), "vessels" (2 Cor. 4:7), "ambassadors" (2 Cor. 5:4, 5, 9, 10, 13-17, 20), "co-workers" (2 Cor. 6:1, 4-10), "a temple" (2 Cor. 6:14-7:1), "avirgin " (2 Cor. 11:2, 3), "lovers of the church" (2 Cor. 1:1; 11:28, 29; Eph. 5:25; 1 Tim. 1:16), and "tasters of Christ" (2 Cor. 12:11-19, 7-10). The book speaks of the truth revealed in the 2 Corinthians that all these aspects presented and demonstrated by Apostle Paul could be thoroughly wrought by God into the believers in the spirit.Foreword
The foreword is written by Benson Phillips, one of the co-workers of the author. The foreword goes like this:
"The chapters contained in this book are messages on 2 Corinthians that were given by Brother Lee in the summer of
1967 inLos Angeles ,California . He states that the central thought of the Scriptures is that God intends to work Himself in Christ though the Spirit into us, that God and we, we and God, might be really one in life, in nature, and in the Spirit. Second Corinthians is the deepest book in the Bible to experientially unveil this intention. It is a book which is mostly on the subjective enjoyment and experience of Christ rather than doctrine."Brother Lee also points out that 2 Corinthians may be considered as an autobiography of the
Apostle Paul . If anyone is going to know what kind of a person Paul was, he must come to this book. In it we see a portrait of a person who lived in the spirit. For us to enjoy and experience Christ in a rich way we must be persons in the spirit as symbolized by ten aspects in 2 Corinthians - "captives", "letters", "mirrors", "vessels", "ambassadors ", "co-workers", "a temple", "a virgin", "lovers of the church", and "tasters of Christ". It is by all these aspects that we can be thoroughly wrought by God and with God and be constituted the ministers of the new covenant for the building up of the church. It is our hope that the reader would pray much to be brought into thesubjective reality of the riches of Christ as revealed in 2 Corinthians."ubject
