Ro.63 Role Liaison/observation Manufacturer Meridionali Introduction 1943 Primary user Regia Aeronautica The Meridionali Ro.63, liaison/observation plane was an Italian high-wing monoplane artillery spotter and liaison aircraft, inspired by the Fieseler Fi 156 "Storch". Developed by the Meridionali Aircraft Company in January 1943 for service in World War II, during the Italian African campaign in 1943. Some examples served in Tunisia and South Italian fighting in reduced numbers. The production plans was stopped when Italian Armistice signed.

The Meridionali Ro.63 as the Italian design, inspired by the German Fieseler Fi 156 "Storch", also served in Italian air force units in wartime.
