Nikolay Popov (December 14, 1931 - February 4, 2008)[1] was a Russian engineer; he was chief designer of the T-80 tank, which was first built by the Soviet Union during the 1970s.[1]
Popov was born at Ust-Labinsk. He died at the age of 76 on February 4, 2008, after a long illness.[1]
