(1997)"Miente" (Eng.: Lie) is the title of the fourth single released by Enrique Iglesias from his second album Vivir. Miente is also the name of the Puerto Rican feature film directed and designed by Rafi Mercado from House of Mercado Entertainment. It stars Oscar Guerrero as Henry, Mariana Santangelo as Paula and Frank Perozo as Diff. It is based on the novel Different by Javier Avila, and was produced by Isla Films.

The track was written and produced by Rafael Pérez-Botija, and became another smash hit for Iglesias. With this song, the singer peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks charts for the eight time consecutively, the first artist to achieve that feat.
Chart performance
The track debuted on the United States Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart at number 5 on August 2, 1997[1] and climbed to number 1 the following week, spending four weeks at the summit.[2] The single spent 10 weeks inside the top ten.
