"Vivir" is the second Spanish album from Pop singer Enrique Iglesias. This album was also a very successful release for the singer. This album includes three number 1 singles on the "Billboard" Hot Latin Tracks charts in US: "Enamorado Por Primera Vez", "Sólo En Ti" and "Miente".

In United States was certifed gold and platinum on May 6, 1997 [cite web |title="Gold & Platinum Certifications" on riaa.com|url=http://www.riaa.com/goldandplatinumdata.php?table=SEARCH_RESULTS|accessdate=1997-05-06] , by the RIAA.

This album received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Latin Pop Album at the Grammy Awards of 1998, losing to "Romances" by Luis Miguel [cite web |title="Latin Pop Performance" on Rockonthenet.com|url=http://www.rockonthenet.com/archive/1998/grammys.htm|accessdate=1998-02-25] .

Chart performance

The album debuted in the "Billboard" Top Latin Albums chart at number 1 in the week of February 15 1997 [cite web |title="Top Latin Albums" on Billboard.com|url=http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/esearch/chart_display.jsp?cfi=330&cfgn=Albums&cfn=Top+Latin+Albums&ci=3026053&cdi=7156893&cid=02%2F15%2F1997|accessdate=1997-02-15] , dethroning his own father Julio Iglesias with the album "Tango", and spent eight weeks at pole position, until Selena's "Dreaming of You" took the number-one spot for two weeks. Enrique Iglesias with his debut album replaced Selena's album at number-one the year before. In the week of April 26 1997 the album "Vivir" returned to the top spot for another three weeks at the summit. The album spent 15 non-consecutive weeks at pole position. The album spent 36 weeks inside the Top Ten and 69 weeks in the chart.
