United States Census Bureau , the CDP has a total area of 6.0km² (2.3 mi²). 5.9 km² (2.3 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it (1.74%) is water.Demographics

census GR|2 of 2000, there were 793 people, 276 households, and 208 families residing in the CDP. Thepopulation density was 134.9/km² (349.8/mi²). There were 306 housing units at an average density of 52.0/km² (135.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 85.75% White, 8.83% African American, 1.77% Native American, 0.38% Asian, 2.52% from other races, and 0.76% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.04% of the population.There were 276 households out of which 34.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.3% were married couples living together, 11.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.3% were non-families. 19.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.87 and the average family size was 3.26.
In the CDP the population was spread out with 26.9% under the age of 18, 7.7% from 18 to 24, 28.9% from 25 to 44, 23.0% from 45 to 64, and 13.6% who were 65 years of age or older.
