=Benwood=

=Charleston=

*There are currently two stubs for a future second Kanawha River crossing on Interstate 64 between Dunbar and South Charleston. The stub along the north bank was constructed in 2004 and the stub along the south bank was constructed in 2006. =Crum=

*There is a stub for the Tolsia Highway that was completed in 2002cite book|last=Mitchem|first= Mike|coauthors= David B. =Huntington=

*The southern end of the West Virginia State Route 106 (East Huntington Bridge) has a stub between the bridge's entrance and exit ramps. =Kenova=

*There is a stub along U.S. Highway 52/West Virginia State Route 75/Tolsia Highway just south of Interstate 64 that was completed in 2002. The ramps are at a 6% grade. =Napier=

*A half mile section of abandoned road extends north from U.S. Highway 19/West Virginia State Route 4 at Napier, West Virginia and ends in Burnsville Lake. This was formerly West Virginia Route 5, but was abandoned when Burnsville Lake was created. Intact pavement, road signs, driveway culverts, utility poles, and water wells can still be found near the roadway, which now serves as an access road for Burnsville Lake Wildlife Management Area. When the lake is at winter pool, it is possible to continue to walk up to a mile on the old highway grade. coord|38.79093|-80.5887|display=inline

Prichard

*There is the stub north of the city along U.S. Route 52/Tolsia Highway that indicates a four-lane expansion north to Kenova. Standard

*The Memorial Tunnel was part of the West Virginia Turnpike from 1954 to 1987, when it was bypassed due to expansion of the Turnpike to four lanes. It was then used for fire tests for the Boston Central Artery/Tunnel Project, and has now been converted into the Center for National Response, a weapons of mass destruction and counter-terrorism training facility for the West Virginia National Guard [cite web|url=http://www.centerfornationalresponse.com/about/history/history.html|title=Center for National Response - Tunnel History] . =Wheeling=

*There is a stub at the Interstate 70 and the U.S. Highway 250/West Virginia State Route 2 interchange immediately east of the Wheeling Tunnel. =Cheat Lake=

*An unused 3 mile section of what is to be West Virginia Route 43 parallels West Virginia County Route 857. This will be part of the southern leg of the Mon/Fayette Expressway system. Small construction projects in association with this highway continue, and partial use of this highway will be permitted in late 2010 or early 2011.
