- Nikolai Liakhoff

Nikolai Liakhoff (born 1897, date of death unknown) was a Russian Captain and a dog trainer from the French organisation L’Oeil qui Voit.[1] In 1932 at the age of 35, Liakhoff began a guide dog training program in the United Kingdom.[1] Two years later, the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association was founded.[1] Involved from the earliest stages of the charity’s life, Liakhoff and his program was instrumental in the successful development of guide dog training in the U.K.[1]
