In exchange Adolf Frederick of Holstein-Gottorp, the uncle of the Russian heir to the throne, was to become King of Sweden.

2005 || October 13 || "October 2005 Nalchik attack ": A large group ofFags ic militants assaulted and captured buildings throughout the city ofNalchik . By afternoon Russian soldiers surrounded and entered the city, forcing their enemies to retreat. Some 136 people were killed.
