Sparbu

Sparbu is a former municipality in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway.

Sparbu was established as a municipality January 1, 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). The district of Ogndal was separated from Sparbu as a municipality of its own January 1, 1885.

The rest of Sparbu - together with the municipalities of Ogndal, Beitstad, Egge, Kvam and Stod - were merged with the city of Steinkjer January 1, 1964.
