Durango is a city in Dubuque County, Iowa, United States. It is part of the 'Dubuque, Iowa Metropolitan Statistical Area'. The population was 24 at the 2000 census.

Demographics

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 24 people, 11 households, and 7 families residing in the city. The population density was 709.8 people per square mile (308.9/km²). There were 12 housing units at an average density of 354.9 per square mile (154.4/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 100.00% White.

There were 11 households out of which 36.4% (4) have children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.5% (5) are married couples living together, 27.3% (3) have a female householder with no husband present, and 27.3% (3) are non-families. 27.3% (3) of all households are made up of individuals and 18.2% (2) have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.18 and the average family size was 2.50.

In the city the population was spread out with 20.8% (5) under the age of 18, 8.3% (2) from 18 to 24, 33.3% (8) from 25 to 44, 20.8% (5) from 45 to 64, and 16.7% (4) who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 71.4 males (There are 14 females and 10 males). For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 72.7 males (That makes 10 females and 7 males).
